:: The BIG Transfer ::
So this is the transfer that determines if we stay in the Tacoma Mission or get transferred to the new Federal Way Mission. I am staying in the Tacoma Mission. I am getting transferred back to "D-Mac" the Deshuttes/ Makenna wards in Yelm. My companion will be Elder Austin Larson. It is going to be in the same Mission so I am really excited to still have President Weaver as my Mission President. It is always hard transferring because you love your fellow companions, investigators and Ward members. So many great people in the Brookdale ward that I love and will miss. There is a really really great recent convert of about a year that I think you would like to talk to. Her name is Lena Corbet-Shafette and her husband's name is Shannon and her adopted son is Landry. Her e-mail is lena.shafette@yahoo.com. I think Lena would love your e-mail. We have tried to see their home but we always come at the wrong time. It was also hard to try too often because it is in the opposite of our area and we have bicycles. The space saver bags would be perfect!!! I was trying to pack this morning and last night and I have way to much stuff. I wrote Grandma Jones twice but she hasn't wrote back. What part are you at in reading right now? I am in Proverbs and Mosiah. Patience is a good thing but excitement is a good thing too. I struggle with writing- sorry. I will try to write a longer letter. I love Scriptures!! I will read the one you sent soon. I love you too Mom! This week we had the privilege to teach an atheist We taught him that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and his Son. He was really nice but wasn't interested. He (Russel) was also really surprised when we were interested/ asked what he believes in. We also had a surprise church tour. Members brought a friend to church and he agreed to hear what we had to say. So at least we had the opportunity to plant a seed. Ben Clapp is really funny he has a version of a gopher face (he does on purpose) and it is really funny. He just got Married to a Member and we have been trying so hard to get him Baptized. We had interviews with President Weaver. Mine was a little short but that's o.k. I wanted to say so much but I struggle with what to say. I read an article called something like "the fourth Missionary". I have been working really hard to become a Consecrated (4th) Missionary this week. Still haven't made it yet but that's o.k. I've learned a lot and will try again. I have six months left. Lena has been going through a lot of problems lately and I have been trying to help her but it seems to not be working. She tries to give so much and doesn't have much time to recuperate. Have a great day!
