With tears in my eyes and love in my heart, I read my last email from my Son, Elder Cody Allen Jones serving in the Tacoma Washington Mission. His journey as a Missionary is coming to an end. I will see him again on November 13, 2013 at 1:15 PM. I can't wait to receive that first hug from him. It will be one that will never be forgotten. Right now I am feeling a flood of emotions. Some of these emotions being; Joy, Sorrow, Loss, Gratitude, Happiness, Love and Excitement.
Joy........as a Mother of a Messenger of God.
Sorrow.....to know that this journey is ending.
Loss.......that my Son is feeling as he leaves his Mission boundaries and those he loves.
Gratitude..for his safety and good health.
Happiness..that his testimony is stronger and his faith fortified.
Love.......to all who Served with him as his Companions, President and to the members caring and giving hearts.
Excitement.to hold him in my arms again.
As I read his Mission Report and testimony, I am so honored to be his Mother.
I'm so thankful to all of the Missionary Moms, Members, Friends and Family who have supported me on this journey. Forever thankful for these memories that will always be in my heart!
