Since transfers fell on the 4th of July this year, the missionaries were already in Tacoma, we decided to have a barbeque after transfer meeting. The Lakewood Stake hosted us by providing their stake center, pavilion, grills, and assistance in grilling. We were blessed. The weather was beautiful. (Low 70's and blue skies). President and myself took our departing Elders to the airport, when we returned the barbeque was underway. All the Senior couples, again were such a help. They provided all the salads. The young missionaries helped by each companionship bringing a dessert, drinks, watermelon or chips. As usual we arrived to set tables, the food all organized, and hamburgers on the grill. As we pulled in the church parking lot, there at the other end was a pavilion full of glowing white shirts. Smoke was ascending into the blue skies. I could hear their laughter. It was an awesome site.
