:: ZIONS CAMP 2013 ::

This past week we had trainings at Zion's Camp. Zion's Camp is a beautiful church owned, dedicated ground. Many stake girls camps, Camp Helaman, Father and Sons etc. are held there. It is a beautiful camp that has canoeing at the lake, a rope swing and slide. Great cabins (a family cabin) and a great lodge with large bathrooms and showers. Also a large amphitheater. There is archery, a playground for children, and large baseball, soccer field, also volleyball courts. The Mission President felt that it would be a great experience for the missionaries to have the opportunity to just be at Zion's Camp. The missionaries obviously couldn't use many of the facilities, but it is a beautiful place that is very easy to feel the Spirit of our Heavenly Father. We began the day with singing. We did trainings dealing with missionary work. The missionaries were allowed to wear their service clothes as we began. Different Zones attended on different days. The goals were to have the missionaries have the opportunity to build personally our own faith, and to feel of the great love our Heavenly Father has for each of us. It gave us time to talk, share experiences and feelings of what we can each be doing to be a better missionary. I felt of the love that we all have for our Heavenly Father, the privilege of serving as a missionary, and for each other. It is such a privilege for us to have a beautiful place like this that we can go to as missionaries. We were blessed to have days of beautiful weather this week also.
