Elder Cody Jones is enjoying his mission more and more each day. He felt so honored that the Shawn the investigator he was teaching decided to be baptized and he asked Cody to baptize him. What an honor to give a person "a new birth" as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loves going to the temple. It's so peaceful and you just feel the spirit with you. You always find answers to your prayers there. Sometimes we don't like the answers we get, but that gives us something to make goals to work towards. He wants everyone to be happy. It reminds me of a saying from when I was younger. "Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to" I feel that when you approach a person or pass them on the street, just smile and ask how their day is. You'll be surprised of peoples reactions to your sincerety of caring about how their day is. Right now Cody's favorite song is "Nearer My God to Thee" Thats a beautiful hymn with a great meaning behind it. We always want to do everything that we can to be closer to God. He told me that he loves me. Those are the precious words you always want to hear your children say to you, especially when you can hear the sincerety from them. I'm so proud of Cody he is doing awesome and thriving on sharing the gospel with all those who will accept it. He is thankful for all the emails, letters, care packages and prayers for him, Thank you all so much for your kindness toward such a wonderful missionary.
